About us

It all started in 2011 following a family camping trip to Somerset; it was a truly beautiful location and great to spend some quality time with friends and family.

In the early evening we noticed a beautiful bell tent, complete with fairy lights and bunting standing out from all the mass produced modern tents. After a couple of glasses of local homebrew cider we got to thinking about glamping and how we could make it more accessible for everyone.

On our return that weekend we began to do a little research and ordered our first bell tent. That’s when Glampit was born.

Since 2011 we have pitched, furnished and dismantled hundreds of tents for some amazing and beautiful weddings, parties and events. We work hard to source both vintage and fairtrade products to furnish the tents and have recently added the on-line shop to make our finds available for you.

We are extremely passionate about what we do and want our guests and customers to fully enjoy the whole camping experience, whether it is in one of our pre-pitched bell tents or your very own self-styled boutique tent.
