Home grown festival glamping

Thinking of hosting your very own festival? Be sure to do it in style with Glampit
Good music, great friends and the added bonus of a comfy bed to end the day: home grow your festival this year, and make 2013 a summer to remember.
With the ailing economy and UK temperatures soaring, there’s no wonder many of us are deciding to set up camp (literally) a little closer to home this year, and enjoy the great holidaying opportunities that this country has to offer.

A great way to spend your great British holiday is sampling one of the many festivals that take place over the summer months. Glastonbury, Edinburgh, Wireless – we Brits certainly know how to throw a great party! But if you’ve tried and tested every festival going and can’t face serving any more time in the trenches, then why not try having your very own?

Even if you’re not trying to emulate the success of Farmfestival, hosting your own festival is the perfect way to make the most of what’s turning out to be marvellous British summertime. Offering you an alternative to the expense of attending or even that equally costly trip to Cornwall, a home grown festival will ensure that your summer holiday 2013 is a memory making success! Plus, what better way to enjoy summer than with a gaggle of your nearest and dearest, dancing to your favourite tunes and not having to worry about where you left your iPhone?

Glamping at Glastonbury may not be an entirely new concept, but Glamping at your own Glastonbury is. Glamping offers you the full festival experience and helps you reconnect with nature without compromising your creature comforts. The bell tents we have available are comfortably furnished, bring a touch of glamour to any location and are perfect for groups of friends, couples and even the little ones. Whatever your style and festival needs, here are our top tips for putting your festival on the map:
• Do any of your friends play in a band? Why not invite them down to play? Alternatively, check the press for local unsigned bands who can entertain you and your party
• Kids will love the excitement of sleeping under the stars – why not make their experience more memorable by inviting a local petting zoo to bring along some of their (well behaved) super stars?

• Don’t forget the food! Most local shops and restaurants offer a catering service menu from which you can choose a variety of summertime favourites to keep your guests well fed! Alternatively, ask everyone to bring along something homemade – this is a home grown festival after all!
• And finally, be prepared for our infamous weather… hot summer days in the great outdoors require lots of sunscreen, but can equally turn chilly as the sun sets, so don’t forget your cardi!
